After ASI Chicago 2026: How POB Supports Distributors with Display Solutions

ASI Show Chicago 2026 has come to a close, but the conversations that began on the show floor are continuing.

Thank you to every distributor, industry professional, brand representative, and potential partner who visited the POB team at Booth #464. The event gave us an opportunity to present our portable display products in a real exhibition environment, meet professionals from across the promotional products industry, and discuss how display and printing projects can become a stronger part of a distributor’s product offering.

For POB, the show was not only about displaying individual products. It was about demonstrating how backlit walls, banner stands, counters, fabric displays, and custom graphics can work together—and how we can help distributors turn an end-client request into a practical, production-ready display solution.

Looking Back at ASI Show Chicago 2026

ASI Show is a B2B industry event that connects promotional product suppliers, distributors, decorators, and other industry professionals.

Within the promotional products industry, distributors help end clients source branded products and coordinate customization, fulfillment, and delivery. This means that a distributor may receive requests not only for apparel, drinkware, bags, and promotional merchandise, but also for branded backdrops, banner stands, event counters, light boxes, tents, and complete trade show booth packages.

POB participated in ASI Show Chicago 2026 as a supplier member:

  • Company: Premium One Backdrops USA INC
  • ASI Number: asi/79386
  • Booth: #464
  • Exhibit Dates: July 22–23, 2026
  • Location: McCormick Place North Building, Chicago

Our goal at the show was to introduce distributors and industry partners to a broader range of display products and explain how POB supports the planning, printing, production, and delivery stages of custom display projects.

What We Displayed at Booth #464

The POB booth was designed as a complete branded environment rather than a lineup of unrelated products. A coordinated black, gold, and neutral visual system connected the backlit displays, banner stands, counters, table graphics, and supporting materials.

This arrangement demonstrated an important advantage for distributors: multiple portable products can be combined into one event package while still maintaining consistent artwork and brand presentation.

SEG Light Boxes and Illuminated Media Walls

Backlit SEG displays formed the main visual foundation of the booth. The illuminated fabric graphics helped the POB branding remain visible within the changing light conditions of a busy exhibition hall.

SEG stands for Silicone Edge Graphics. The printed fabric is finished with a silicone edge that fits into the channel of the display frame, helping create a smooth, edge-to-edge graphic surface.

For distributors, SEG displays can be offered to clients that need a more illuminated and premium-looking presentation for trade shows, conferences, retail environments, showrooms, or product launches.

Banner Stands for Supporting Messages

A main backdrop usually carries the core brand message, but it cannot communicate every product feature, service benefit, event instruction, or call to action.

The banner stands at Booth #464 were used to present supporting product information in a narrow, portable format. They showed how distributors can help clients add product details, QR codes, directional messaging, campaign information, or service highlights around a larger booth structure.

Banner stands can also be sold as standalone products for recruiting events, retail promotions, conferences, presentations, and smaller client activations.

Portable and Illuminated Counters

The counters at the POB booth created practical points for greeting visitors, holding brochures, reviewing product information, and conducting conversations.

A counter is more than a printed accessory. Within a complete booth, it can help define the reception area, provide a working surface, and bring branding closer to the visitor.

Depending on the client’s presentation requirements, distributors can offer non-backlit fabric counters, portable pop up counters, or illuminated SEG counter options.

Coordinated Trade Show Booth Packages

The individual products presented in Chicago can also be combined into larger booth solutions. A complete package may include a main backwall, supporting banner stands, a counter, table graphics, shelving, lighting, monitor support, or additional display walls.

This gives distributors the flexibility to support clients with different booth sizes, event goals, budgets, and installation requirements—from one portable display to a coordinated 10x10 or 10x20 exhibition space.

What the Show Reinforced About Distributor Projects

A display project usually requires more coordination than selecting a product from a catalog.

The end client may know that they need “a backdrop” or “a trade show booth,” but they may not know which structure fits the reserved space, how the artwork should be prepared, what accessories are needed, or how early the project should begin.

For distributors, this creates an opportunity to offer a more complete solution—but it also creates additional project questions.

Product Selection Must Begin with the Application

The most appropriate display depends on how and where the client will use it.

Before recommending a product, it is helpful to confirm:

  • The available booth or event dimensions
  • Indoor or outdoor use
  • The client’s main visual and communication goals
  • Expected viewing distance and visitor flow
  • Whether the display will be reused at multiple events
  • Available setup time and installation experience
  • Requirements for lighting, shelving, counters, or monitors
  • The event date and required delivery date

A compact event may only require a banner stand and branded counter. A standard exhibition space may need a fabric backwall and supporting graphics. A larger project may require multiple SEG walls, functional zones, and coordinated accessories.

Portability Is Part of the Product Decision

A display can look impressive in a rendering but still be unsuitable if the client cannot transport, assemble, store, or reuse it efficiently.

Portable structures are particularly important for clients that attend several events each year, rely on smaller teams, or need to move displays between locations.

POB considers frame type, packed format, setup method, graphic installation, and repeated-use requirements when helping distributors compare display options.

Replaceable Graphics Add Long-Term Value

Many event displays use reusable hardware with graphics that can be replaced when the client changes a campaign, launches a new product, updates a sponsor list, or attends a different event.

This can help distributors position a display system as an ongoing client solution rather than a one-time purchase. Future replacement graphics and related event products may also create additional opportunities within the same customer relationship.

How POB Supports Promotional Product Distributors

POB is a display and custom printing company that works with distributors, brands, marketing agencies, event professionals, schools, organizations, and corporate teams.

Our support begins before production. We help clarify what the end client needs, identify an appropriate display structure, review the artwork requirements, and coordinate the project around the event timeline.

1. Turning an Initial Request into a Clear Product Recommendation

A client inquiry may begin with limited information, such as a booth size, reference photo, estimated budget, or event date.

Distributors can send POB the available details, and our team can help compare relevant structures and product combinations. This may include recommending a portable fabric wall instead of a rigid structure, adding a counter to create a reception point, or using supporting banner stands rather than placing too much information on one backdrop.

2. Building a Coordinated Display Package

When a client needs more than one product, POB can help organize the products into a consistent display package.

This may involve coordinating:

  • A main branded backwall
  • Supporting banner stands
  • A reception or product display counter
  • SEG light boxes or illuminated graphics
  • Table covers and supporting print materials
  • Shelving, monitor support, or other booth accessories

Using related artwork, repeated colors, and a clear message hierarchy helps the final booth feel like one brand environment instead of several disconnected products.

3. Artwork Review and Design Support

Custom display graphics require more than placing a logo into a template.

Before production, the POB team can review image resolution, graphic dimensions, logo placement, important text areas, bleed requirements, and other artwork considerations.

When a distributor or end client does not have a production-ready layout, design support can help turn the available logo, copy, product images, and reference materials into a clearer display concept.

Artwork approval remains an important step because it gives the distributor and client an opportunity to review the layout before printing begins.

4. Production and Shipping Planning

Trade show projects are deadline-driven. The event date, required delivery date, destination, quantity, artwork status, and selected display structure can all affect the available timeline.

POB asks distributors to provide these details as early as possible so the team can review production and shipping options and identify timing concerns before the project moves forward.

Shipping support does not remove the possibility of carrier, weather, or venue-related delays, so building a reasonable time buffer remains important for event orders.

5. Installation Guidance and Continued Support

Receiving the products is not the final stage of an event project. The client must still identify each component, install the hardware, attach the graphics, and prepare the display before the show opens.

Depending on the product, POB can provide setup instructions, reference videos, product guidance, and assistance with installation-related questions.

For repeat events, distributors can also return to POB for replacement graphics, supporting products, additional booth components, or a revised setup for a different space.

Helping Distributors Expand Their Client Offering

Trade show and event display products can complement the promotional merchandise that distributors already provide.

A client ordering branded apparel, bags, table items, or event giveaways may also need the physical environment in which those products will be presented. That requirement may include a backdrop, illuminated wall, banner stand, table cover, counter, flag, tent, or complete booth.

Working with a display supplier can help distributors keep more parts of the project within their existing client relationship.

Instead of referring the display requirement to another company, the distributor can coordinate a broader event package and remain the primary point of contact for the client.
